Potassium nitrate (KNO3)
Aim for a nitrate level of 10-20 ppm. If a water test shows a high level, change some of the aquarium water. If it is low, add nitrate.
Adjust the dose to suit your plants, lighting and CO2 level.
Instructions for use:
Dissolve 41 grams of KNO3 in 500 ml of warm (preferably reverse osmosis) water. A dose of 10 ml per 100 litres raises nitrate by 5.0 ppm and potassium by 3.15 ppm.
EC fertiliser. Compound fertiliser NK 13-47.
